About Me...
I was inspired to pursue a career in Midwifery after  my first two daughters were born under the care and guidance of Certified Nurse Midwives. I received my Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from the University of Vermont in 1998 and then left my home state to undertake an internship in High Risk Obstetrics at the prestigious St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in conjunction with Texas Children's Hospital in Houston.  I  remained in Houston and worked as a Labor and Delivery nurse in a variety of settings for the next seven years. In 2005, I completed my Masters Degree and Nurse Midwifery training at the University of Texas Medical Branch and was honored with induction into the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.
I have been living in McKinney with my husband, four children, three dogs and two horses for the past four years and have delivered more than three hundred local babies in that time.  While I don't get much sleep, I wouldn't change a thing! I continue to feel so blessed and proud to be a part of each couple's journey to parenthood.
